We hope you will enjoy our new look web page.
As with our charters, we have tried to make it as enjoyable, interactive and educational as possible.
At fish n Crab Deep Sea Charters we believe that every one we deal with should walk away happy in the knowledge that they have had the most unique, memorable and we believe simply the most enjoyable charter experience available.
And that commitment flows through to every aspect of our organization.
We offer various day, evening and night fishing charters, as well as party cruises, corporate and group events out of Mooloolaba, the jewel of Queensland’s beautiful Sunshine Coast.
Our Vessel – Crusader 1 – is a true commercial fishing vessel. 55 foot long and with the largest possible deck-space to cabin ratio, it has been completely refit to accommodate up to 22 passengers and 3 crew in comfort without sacrificing any of the advantages and safety of its commercial heritage. The ultra busy Christmas period aside, we try to keep numbers, unless its a single group, to a max of 18 at a time on board. It gives our customers more space, hugely reduces those annoying tangles, and just makes for an even more enjoyable day out all round.
Our crews are not only some of the most experienced fishermen in Australia, they are the most enthusiastic (some may say fanatical) fishing charter crews to set foot on board a vessel! Have a look on our “Meet the team” page!
Never fished before? NO PROBLEM! They are there to help you understand the key elements as quickly as possible, and will happily help you out at any point.
We also believe that there are always new opportunities, techniques and equipment coming along that could just give the fishing enthusiast that extra little edge!
So we test them and if it seems like its both fun and useful we will make it available to our customers. For instance we actually supply plastics, as well as multiple types of other bait, for any customers that want to have a go!
Have a look at the various pages of this site, or just give us a call to discuss arranging your nest charter with us. There has never been a better time to enjoy some quality time out on the water. And we will do everything we can to make sure you enjoy every minute to the fullest extent!
Tuesday February 21: It hard to keep up with the changes in the forecasts at the moment! Only this morning Thursday was shown as the perfect opportunity to head out for a fish. 6 hours later and its unlikely even the commercial fleet would consider heading out! At this point it is difficult to really get any clear idea of what is likely to happen tomorrow, let alone Thursday or later.
This coming weekend was initially forecast to be horrible. Saturday AM is looking borderline on the current forecast, but as with the rest of the forecasts it is really still far to early to make any real determinations at this point. All we can do is keep an eye on the charts and forecasts and see where we are at about 12 hours ahead of time. We are already pretty much booked out for the early morning charters over the weekend, but do have some spots remaining for the afternoon charters, so if you have a chance to get out, it would be well worth putting your name down in case the weather turns around nicely for us all.

Friday Feb 17, 2012 - Just a quick report. It was a last minute call to head out to the banks agan today. After another couple of days of strong winds, the forecast was at a level we felt it could be ok to head out. In fact the forecast winds and swell never really eventuated. A fast running tide was however in full force! This certainly impacted on the fishing techniques, but the results were once again pretty awesome! With just 8 people on board after 2 last minute withdrawals we still caught 5 large trevelley, 2 Snapper 1 excellent Cobia (aka King-fish as shown in our gallery) a couple of Moses perch and a few tuskies. (should I mention the "happy Moment fish and grinners that were also in full force? no, lets not ;-) ). 60 crab just added to an overall awesome day out once again with massive smiles on all those brave enough to have made the effort to turn up for the charter!

Saturday Feb 18, 2012. The quiet start to February is certainly changing now. Bookings are fast and furious right through the rest of the month, much of March and even a fair few days in April are booked out already! Its interesting to see that so many of our customers are repeat and even regulars. No doubt they have the experience to know that this is when the "real fishing" starts! We are starting to see of lot more larger fish being hooked now. Larger schools of fish are also clearly present out in the deeper water already. On another note, the dredging of the Mooloolah river mouth is set to resume on Wednesday this week. Lets hope the forecast calmer conditions let the boys make a big impact on the sandbar quickly. Its not an easy task and must be disheartening to see your work until in the blink of a proverbial eye when a big front comes through. A more permanent solution that requires less manual input is really what is needed to ensure beautiful Mooloolaba continues to grow as the jewel of the Sunshine coast!
